After "refresh" contacts get synced but the background-process never finishes

After doing a refresh of my contacts in evolution all my contacts seem to get synced but the sync-process never gets finished, leading to a timeout.

If I try to close Evolution, I get this message.

I couldn't find any way to view pending jobs in Evolution so any suggestions would be appreciated.
Again, it seems like all contacts got synced correctly nontheless. I am on Manjaro Budgie.

I am not sure how the process never finishes, but a way to get more debug info is to open evolution from the terminal after a restart. It should print errors and some logs in the terminal.

Do I need to run it with a specific parameter? Because there is no console output. I still have the problem, running Evolution 3.46.2
