Weird broken remote backups

We are just getting started with clickhouse-backup. We are trying to send the backup to another sftp destination. After the backup ran we could see it locally, but also saw stuff like:

etc                  2026-03-27 06:51:00   remote      ???   broken (can't stat metadata.json)
tmp                  2026-03-27 06:51:03   remote      ???   broken (can't stat metadata.json)
run                  2026-03-27 08:32:47   remote      ???   broken (can't stat metadata.json)

I can't remove those and clean_remote_broken does nothing.

Any idea where this is coming from and how to correct it?

I figured it out. It's quite picky about the path and the patch should be a folder/directory.
