Double Slabs not compatible with Immersive Engineering on 1.12.2

Hi i was wondering if double slabs would ever be compatible with immersive engineering on 1.12.2, I don't know if it has been asked before or if it is even possible but thanks in advance

I did manage to make the mods work together by creating my own mod, but i also noticed a problem with the constructor of doubleslabs's serverworldwrapper leading to the world loading twice and crashing the game when placing IE slabs, but i did manage to fix that by using a mixin
