Refresh rate seems low

The refresh rate of the animations seems quite low - it could look more smooth.

Here's a script i use to drive my leds on linux, i also added a framerate counter:

I measured about 100fps with ectool rgbkbd and 350fps with framework_tool --rgbkbd

On Windows I get 30 with framework_tool --rgbkbd

Maybe a lot of overhead of this script on windows is starting the process and opening the root\crosec driver file every time.
Should try to benchmark without doing that
