<p>The Journal Square Community Association has worked to improve our neighborhood through advocacy, partnerships, and direct action. Here are some highlights.</p>

    Collaborated with City Council and Planning officials to create an affordable housing amendment specific to Journal Square.

    <strong>Loews Theatre</strong>
    Led a successful petition campaign that accelerated repairs to the theatre annex and expedited removal of scaffolding on Gloria Esposito Way.
  </li>
  <li>
    <strong>Public Art</strong>
    Commissioned multiple murals throughout the neighborhood, bringing color and culture to Journal Square's streetscape.
  </li>

    <strong>Street Infrastructure</strong>
    Initiated a complete street petition focused on Bergen Avenue to improve safety and walkability.
  </li>

    <strong>Community Partnerships</strong>
    Established alliances with the Journal Square Special Improvement District, Old Bergen Church, Jersey City Together, and Friends of the Loews.

    <strong>Parks Development</strong>
    Secured funding and advanced planning for upgrades to Brett Triangle Park.

    Organized and sponsored walking tours highlighting the Journal Square area's rich history.
