Report an Issue

See something that needs attention? Here's how to report it:

SeeClickFix – Jersey City's primary tool for reporting potholes, graffiti, illegal dumping, broken streetlights, overflowing trash, and other quality-of-life issues. Available online and on mobile.

Resident Response Center: (201) 547-4900 – Jersey City's one-stop office for city services, Monday–Friday 9 AM–5 PM.

Office of Code Compliance – For property maintenance violations including unkempt lots, accumulated trash, and building code issues.

Trash & Recycling

Look up your collection schedule on the Garbage Collection Map or visit the DPW Sanitation page.

Trash is collected twice per week. Place trash curbside between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM the night before your scheduled collection day.

Recycling is collected once per week. Do not place recyclables in plastic bags.

Bulk items (up to 4 per collection day) – Call (201) 547-4400 to schedule. Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic.

Missed pickups – Report via SeeClickFix or call (201) 547-4400.

Street Cleaning

Jersey City runs a regular street sweeping schedule. Move your vehicle according to posted alternate side parking signs so sweepers can clean your block.
