This section provides a practical guide on how to assemble each component used in our MML default setup, along with the programming procedures for operating the recording systems during data acquisition. Our choices of equipment were guided by specific research needs and by oury our above-mentioned principles of (1) accessibility, (2) affordability, and (3) portability, and (4) Integration. Importantly, we do not endorse any particular manufacturer and, although we describe the exact brands models used in our setup, alternative components can be substituted provided they meet similar technical specifications. An overview of the full lab configuration, including a depiction of the experimental design, is provided in Figure 1.
