Google Maps shows something similar. What you are seeing in Passport is a map provider issue.

I use natural earth data compressed and exported to a geojson package.

Maybe I can look for another GeoJSON file with different boundaries, but of course the file needs to be a manageable size.

Even if I use the 1:10 version, which is about 40 MB, both the source and the results remain the same, since the underlying dataset is identical. Therefore, we need to find a data source that provides geo data where Morocco and Western Sahara are separated. So what I know is, that Morocco controls large parts of Western Sahara, which is why Natural Earth vectors represent it as part of Morocco and internationally disputed borders are often not represented as separate country polygons, or they are classified only as disputed lines.

I’ve taken another look at GeoBoundaries, OSM, and Mapscaping, all three sources show Morocco without a separation. So for now, we’ll have to live with that.

The problem is our VA uses this map and associated airports. The map gets turned green if you go there and it also tracks as a percentage of countries gone too. I see and understand your point, if there is no dataset showing the boundary you can't display it. Thanks.

Same problem with Somaliland. Flew into the capital city airport HCMH, according to Wiki, and did not trigger map. Discussion on Discord is useless. Everyone knows, no one listens.
