Not seeing the upload and index documents option in UI

Hi,

Using Ubuntu 22.04 and Firefox v135, python 3.10, miniforge3(conda) built following instructions no errors on install. Running app.py launches the web interface but I am unable to access the 'Upload and Index Documents' function as it does not seem to be present in the web page which is very strange! Without this I am a bit stuck! Here is a screen shot of my UI. Any advice/help pointers appreciated. Starting a new chat does not bring it up and it does not appear to be hidden in any of the menu options available.

A-ha - I may have solved it - it seems that the paperclip gives you access to upload and index - although I thought that would be for additional attached files that relate to a specific prompt and not the route to create the main document library. I will give this a go now.

However can someone still confirm if I am seeing what should be present?

Hmm - OK the upload (via the paperclip) failed on the orca.pdf with the following error:

I think I have sorted that problem, in my initial batch of upload files there was a .doc file that made the first upload attempt fail. No documents were indexed on that run. So I tried again and the presence of the .doc file in the uploaded documents prevented any indexing even when subsequently only a single pdf was uploaded. However, once the doc file was manually deleted from the uploaded Documents folder then indexing began to run as expected.

So it would be good if files that fail to be processed could be moved to an 'unprocessed' folder so they do not interfere with future uploads/indexing.

I have noticed that indexed documents are only available to the chat session where they were uploaded (via the paperclip) - Should I be seeing a more obvious upload and Index function in the UI (my original Question).

I have now hit some other issues but will raise these separately.
