ImageMinify won't compress *.svg files after updating to v2.36 (201702041039) via App Store

I am running:

• OSX El Capitan v10.11.6
• iMac Retina 5k, 27", Late 2015
• Processor: 3.3 GHz Intel Core i5
• Memory: 8GB 1867 MHz DDR3
• Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M395 2048 MB

ImageMinify was running fine (with a few fails here and there that i remedied by re-setting the "save" location), UNTIL the latest update to v2.36 (201702041039) after which it'll compress *.jpg and *.png files, but NOT *.svg (the most valuable to me).

I've tried:

• resetting the “save” location
• shutting everything down and restarting my machine
• uninstalling/re-installing

… all to no avail.

PLEASE HELP!
I need this to work for my job!

• is it possible to downgrade to the previous working version?
