[BUG] IPv6 tests failing

Ipv6 functionality on linux.

To Reproduce
Run the ipv6 tests

Expected behaviour
tests pass.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: debian bullseye (ci docker test container)

@stewartadam have you tried using ipv6 at any point in this library? I'm working on a network refactor to make a no-std protocol logic core and plugging in other network stacks eaiser. The ipv6 tests on main inside a docker debian container with the ipv6 addresses set to loopback fail at the moment. Curious if anyone has tried IPv6 recently.

I haven't had a change to with IPv6 but I'm doing some home network upgrades that will support it soon, so I'll give it a shot.
