Databricks (Other hosts): SSO fails

Description

I'm trying to import Tables via the "Databricks (Other hosts)" wizard. Connecting to SQL Warehouse on Databricks (AWS) works with Power BI Desktop, but not with Tabular Editor 3.25.5.

I need to use Azure AD Authentication. Client / M2M Authentication would also be possible but I don't see an option for this. "Username / Password" and "Access Token" are not possible due to organization rules.

When I click on "Sign in..." a small pop-up appears "select account" as usual. But after selecting my company account the error appears. I have checked with the entra admin, no application consent request has been received. Also in his opinion this is rather a software problem than an entra problem, because it never gets to the step of MFA confirmation.

I also changed standard browser settings in windows, just in case. No difference with Chrome or Edge.

Thanks for reporting this. May I ask you to check if you are able to connect using previous versions of Tabular Editor 3, specifically the pre 3.25.x versions, such as 3.24.2? Trying to understand if this is a regression, or if we just never had Azure AD auth support for Databricks on AWS.

Also, it would be helpful if you could send your session ID (from Help > About Tabular Editor) to support@tabulareditor.com - this would allow us to track the error message from our anonymous telemetry data.

thank you for the timely response. The 3.24.2. Version also does not work, but with a different error message. I sent a screenshot of that and the session IDs to ypur support address.

@danielkmh release 3.26.0 now supports OIDC/OAuth against Databricks multicloud (i.e. AWS, etc.). Could you give it a spin and let us know if it works for you? Thanks!
