Investigate a better VSCode PHPCS extension

We currently use the phpsab exension which works wel, but only scans php files. PHPCS is configured to scan more than PHP files. I have noticed that ojn the command line I get results for yaml files, that do not show up in the IDE.

Describe your solution

It would be excellent to find a well maintained PHPCS/CBF extension that follows the phpcs config exactly.

vscode-phpsab is PHP-language-mode focused.
wongjn.php-sniffer documents phpSniffer.extraFiles, which lets PHPCS run on non-PHP files (useful for Drupal .info.yml).
Suggested settings:
