Speaker Bio
- Name: Philmo Gu
- Mini-bio: (This is the introduction our emcee will give about you, one paragraph is usually best)
Philmo Gu built his computer graphics foundation during his Computer Science studies. He applied this knowledge as a graduate researcher by developing a volumetric data annotation system, gaining direct exposure to computer graphics and computer vision. He further solidified these core concepts by teaching an introductory computer graphics course. Transitioning to industry, he first utilized his spatial data skills in plant imaging reconstruction. He then advanced to the medical technology sector, where he focused on developing complex image analysis software for cardiac contouring. Today, he continues his technical progression in the field as a Senior R&D Software Engineer at Synopsys.
