Why each point needs a value to creat heatmap?

I want to creat a heatmap to express the density of a set of no value points.
For example, I have each tree's longlat, now I want to generate a heat map with acidmap to tell us where is forest and where is desert.

How to do it? Help me, Please!

Hi,

I had the same trouble and I resolved it by this way:
You will need a column with a numeric value. All the register will have the same value: 1
The parameters will be:
Simplify Method: Grid
Renderer: Dense
Interpolation: Linear

What a pity, I gave up acidmap, I think I'll choose it next time.
