Do you have an AAWireless device and want to flash aa-proxy as its firmware, or are you just asking in general?

Well, it kind of depends - AAWireless is known for having a very polished and widely compatible firmware.
Of course, we’re trying to match that level - and for everyday use, it should work just as well.

But the main advantage here is that, being open source, it opens up new possibilities - for example, customizing it to your own needs, and so on.
