Release(7.0.10) wrongly marked as prerelease.

Hey,

I just noticed that your 7.0.10 release is marked as prerelease but the 7.1.0-rc1 as stable.
It looks to me as this was mistakenly swapped, as I believe 7.0.10 should be the stable release.

This is important for package managers like homebrew who can only ship stable releases.

Would it be possible to change this?

Both 7.1.0-RC1 & 7.0.10 are real releases. The ASF has very specific rules on what's considered a release vs a prerelease, so in this case anything marked prerelease means it's currently being released. The prerelease flag is supposed to be removed once the release is official. Technically 7.1.0-RC1 is the latest since it's the highest, we could mark either. The current plan is to call for a vote & release 7.1.0 if no issues are found in the RC by end of week.

Sure, so if I am understanding correctly, you are talking about the -rc flag in the version name correct? Because what I was referring to, is marking the gh release as a prerelease. similarly how you did that in the past (https://github.com/apache/grails-core/releases/tag/v7.0.0-RC2).

@GunniBusch There is a disclaimer on those old releases:

	Apache Grails is an effort undergoing incubation at The Apache Software Foundation (ASF), sponsored by the Apache Groovy Project. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.

We had to change our process as part of joining the ASF: we don't mark ASF releases as pre-release now unless its actively in the release process. Once a release is uploaded to dist.apache.org, we remove the pre-release flag.

With that said, I think it may be reasonable to not mark those releases as the latest. I'll bring this up in the Wednesday meeting.
