[Bug]: Adds space even when setting is toggled

What happened?

When autocompleting with "Add a space after completion" off, it will appear as if there is no space, as expected, but upon typing, it will add a space between the word and the new letter.

I am on Vivaldi and disabled all other extensions; the bug still happened.

Steps to reproduce

Type a word
Autocomplete it with "Add a space after completion" OFF
Try making it plural or adding anything to the end

Expected behavior

You autocomplete "Crab" with no space, you add an "s" to make it "Crabs" or "ed" to make it "Crabed"

Actual behavior

You autocomplete "Crab" with no space, you add an "s" and it becomes "Crab s"

Backspacing after completion deletes the last character of the word, not a space. This suggests the space is being injected by the browser's input handler at the start of the next keystroke rather than by the extension during completion.

It's likely a bug specific to Vivaldi. I will search for a user-end fix myself.
