Crashes on Linux

Describe the bug
Coredumps when starting the sample example app from the front page of this project.

To Reproduce

1. Did install steps with composer.
2. php version supports ffi (examples from php.net hellow world,... work)

Expected behavior
do not crash

Screenshots

Thanks for reporting.

Since it crashes before the GUI, it’s likely an FFI/native layer issue (ABI mismatch or broken .so).

Can you share:

coredump / stack trace (coredumpctl gdb)
CPU arch (x86_64/ARM)
ldd path/to/library.so
php -i | grep ffi

Also try PHP 8.2+ and rebuilding the native lib locally.

With the stack trace I can pinpoint it fast .

Tried with PHP 8.5.5: works!

This was caused by a native/FFI layer issue leading to a crash before the GUI initialized. Please update to the latest release and try again.
