So the Time Range and Identity sections are expanded by default, which contributes to the filter area taking up significant vertical space on page load.

Possible approaches to address this:

1. Collapse the entire filter Card by default — Wrap the filter Card content in a Collapsible so the whole filter panel can be toggled open/closed. The Card header with the filter icon already exists (line 277-289) and could serve as the toggle trigger.

2. Change all FilterSection defaults to defaultOpen={false} — This would keep the filter card visible but with all sections collapsed, significantly reducing vertical space. Sections with active filters could auto-expand via the existing activeCount prop logic.

3. Combine both — Collapse the entire filter card by default, and also default individual sections to collapsed.

The infrastructure for collapsibility is already in place via the FilterSection component and the Collapsible UI primitive — the main change would be at the top-level Card wrapper in usage-logs-view-virtualized.tsx.
