Fresh install from eclipse-jee-2026-03-R-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar.gz
Eclipse IDE for Enterprise Java and Web Developers (includes Incubating components)
Version: 2026-03 (4.39.0)
Build id: 20260305-0817
OS: Linux, v.6.12.74+deb13+1-amd64, x86_64 / gtk 3.24.49, WebKit 2.50.6
Java vendor: Eclipse Adoptium
Java runtime version: 21.0.10+7-LTS
Java version: 21.0.10
Debian 13 on gnome. Screen size 1280x1024.
Eclipse Font Dejavu Sans Mono 14
When I edit a .js file, and as the font is big and my screen being not too big, I have to scroll over to edit lines that don't fit on the viewport. Every time I edit something, the editor jumps back to show the beginning of the line. It has been doing this for a while now.
Is there a setting to stop this jumping, as it makes using the editor difficult/impossible.
(It works ok on the StructuredTextEditor eg editing a .jsp file.)
