Describe the Bug

i have configured the SMTP server and it is working fine by using the test email button.

I tried to test the dashboard to send me an email if any monitored servers are down or unreachable, but it did not.

I am not sure if this is a bug or a new feature.

Thanks for your great work & hope this monitor goes far away.

Steps to Reproduce

1. stoped a monitored server for 10min
2. did not receive an email

Thanks for the suggestion! This is actually a feature request rather than a bug — the alert system currently only evaluates metric thresholds (CPU, blocking, deadlocks, etc.) from data it successfully collects. If a server is unreachable, there's no data to evaluate, so no alert fires. Missing features aren't bugs, so I've relabeled this as an enhancement.

Adding a "server unreachable" alert type is a reasonable idea. Would you be interested in working on a PR for this? The relevant code is in the alert evaluation pipeline — it would need to track consecutive connection failures and route them to the existing email notification system.
