I'm aware of that kernel too. My concern is that the changes made to support the MK808 (stick) may mean it is no longer compatible with the Mobo 8 IPS (tablet). I do unnderstand that the base kernel it was derived from was a tablet. If I can integrate it would you be prepared to test it?

Yesterday installed this firmware. Thanks a lot for build, great job, nice looking! Good apps choice. Today while watching online movie system shutdown after discharged. After plugin charger system went to cycle reboot. Ater 10th time shutdown it with long pressing off. After 15 minutes charging - the same issue.
Any ideas? How to enter to recovery on this device?

Seems problem not in firmware but maybe with some hardware, because it appers in different firmwares on this tablet.
Got it when trying to boot with BT on - system try to recover last status of BT, and it was enable before shutdown tablet.
So be carefull - always try to shut down BT before rebooting, in other case you can get cycle reboot. For closing this cycle - need to open tablet cover, and press round button in microscheme, to set recoveru mofe of tablet and then restore firmware.

Sorry to hear you had some problems.

Even though the tablet is not completing a boot you should be able to connect it to the PC and re-flash the firmware just as you did before. When the flash is complete it will automatically start ClockWorkMod recovery. From CWM, wipe data, wipe cache and (somewhere in the the advanced or mounts sections) there are options to format. Format the INTERNAL sdcard as well. Then use ClockWorkMod to reboot the tablet, it should start normally. However, will be completely wiped clean so you'll need to re-install your apps and data.

Sounds like a corrupt download. Check the MD5 of the zip you've downloaded against the one I published. If they differ, download the ROM again.

By baking CWM in to my ROM it disables the stock recovery that automatically formats the internal SD card on first boot. I'll make updated images soon, one without CWM and one with CWM. That should provide a failsafe and also flashing the non-CWM version and then flashing the CWM version should always work.

Grant I did not need to perform any of the functions in zhuodashi. Eventually leaving both zhuodashi and rkbtool running lead to the unit being detected by rkbatchtool ie appearing purple. I had trouble getting zhuodashi to detect the unit , sometimes the android logo did not appear on the phone picture. I think a fresh install and reboot helped.
