View CAD and USD "value" of an account?

I have a non-registered account that has both US and Canadian holdings and therefore can be considered to have both a USD value and a CAD value that are separate from each other.

Are those distinct values available in this API anywhere? If not, is that a WS CodeQL limitation or is it possible, just not implemented currently?

Great library BTW. While I have my own similar implementation, I might toss it in favour of just leveraging yours.

I don't have USD securities in any of my accounts, so I can't test. But if you see those in the web app, they are returned by the GraphQL for sure.

For balances, ws.getAccountBalances() return a dict that has sec-c-cad and sec-c-usd keys.
And the objects returned by ws.get_accounts() contain a lot of information.
The example in the readme takes value from account['financials']['currentCombined']['netLiquidationValue']['amount']
I know that in the past, the GraphQL API returned CAD and USD assets from the same account as if they are in two different accounts, one in CAD and one in USD. Not sure that is still true..?

I think the account['custodianAccounts'] value might be of interest. I only see CAD amounts myself, but maybe you'll see USD somewhere in there.
If you just print the account object in its entirety, and look for USD, pretty sure you'll see what you want somewhere.

Yeah. I've already been looking at that big blob of JSON that comes from the FetchAllAccountFinancials GraphQL query and unfortunately the only values seem to be in CAD, including the USD account's value converted to CAD. I do wonder if that is just because of what that GraphQL query is requesting and that a modified query might return per-currency values. I've never really dug into how the GraphQL language works though and have just scooped those queries up out of interacting with the WS webUI and treating them as opaque query blobs.

Looking at what's displayed on the WebUI, I could compute separate CAD/USD account balances by iterating the holdings and computing their values in their native currency and then adding available cash to each of the per-currency holding totals.

Upon reflection though, I'm not sure how much I care about the per-currency values. Maybe it's less important than I was initially thinking. I had always just kept them separate due to that being how they were being delivered by other financial institutions. Funny enough, I always converted those USD values to CAD for "big picture" analysis any how.
