Steps to Reproduce

1. Upgrade from 6.15.1 to 8.0.0-beta.0
2. Set up the new native crash reporting feature
3. Run IOS debug build --> all is fine
4. Run IOS release build --> fails to build

Expected Result

I expected that the ios build would succeed in the release version as well as the debug

Actual Result

It fails to build with this error:

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue with 8.0.0-beta.0. I was wondering if you could try the following:

1. Deep clean and reinstall:

  cd ios
  rm -rf Pods Podfile.lock ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData
  pod deintegrate
  pod cache clean --all
  pod install --repo-update --verbose

2. Verify the installed Sentry version:

 cat ios/Podfile.lock | grep -A 3 "Sentry ("

You should see - Sentry (9.3.0)

3. If the issue persists, please share:

• Your Podfile
• The output from step 2 (confirming the Sentry version)
• Whether you have any custom post_install or pre_install hooks
• I noticed your error path shows /monorepo/... Could you share more on your monorepo setup to help us reproduce the issue

Perhaps my fastfile is the culprit. The release build for xcode succeeds (I hadn't checked that until now) but the release from CI which uses fastlane is the problem?
