MSys was the name of the predecessor of MSYS2 (with "MSYS" describing the aspect of both where a forked version of the Cygwin runtime provides a POSIX emulation layer to run e.g. Bash). Since Git for Windows switched from the former to the latter (already in 2015), it would be appropriate in some cases to rename this.

However, simply throwing out a link to search results is only the first, very minor step toward this. The much more involved task is to determine what needs to be renamed and what does not. That's admittedly much harder than throwing an automated checker at the problem, and if you're more interested in that kind of project, I am afraid the "MSys -> MSYS" idea ain't doin' it.
