"Something went wrong" in oauth screen

I can't get npx -y @googleworkspace/cli@latest auth login to work properly. I triple checked the settings of my auth:

• Status: testing
• User type: external
• Test user: includes myself
• Client ID: Desktop

The only "strange" thing is that I can't set a redirect URI, which according to auth setup is necessary.

auth login shows an URL, after browsing to it and approving all scopes on the "... wants to access your Google Account" page, I get this on a page https://accounts.google.com/info/unknownerror?...:

I didn't need to set the redirect URI either.

This worked as a test gws auth login --readonly

Thanks! I tried gws auth login --scopes drive,gmail,calendar too but that gives the error you mentioned. npx -y @googleworkspace/cli@latest auth login --readonly did the trick for me.

Same issue here, same result as @Niek when I use --readonly.

My apologies, one other thing I did: add a test user. In GCP in Audience, add your user.
