Interest in a modernization effort?

I came here to make a contribution to bump make-dir v3 to v5 because it removes the dependency on a version of semver with a vulnerability.

I cloned the repo and saw that it takes quite a bit to get the environment setup. Do the maintainers of this repo have interest in taking major contributions to modernize the code and DX tooling used in this repo?

🐌 sorry for a very late reply. Frankly, DX was always the least priority, or else it would be at least rewritten to TS years ago.
However, if you do have time and ability to make anything better, any contribution will be more than welcomed.
