Feature Request: Folder Support and Team Notes Editing #106

Description

@Eibich

First of all, thank you for this amazing extension! I am very satisfied with the overall performance and the workflow it provides for Markdown editing. It’s a great tool that makes my daily work much easier.

To make the experience even better, I would like to suggest two main features:

1. Folder Support (Directory Tree)

Currently, managing a large number of notes can become a bit cluttered. It would be perfect if the extension could display and support folders.

  • Why: This would provide a much better overview and allow users to organize their notes by project or category.
  • Desired Behavior: If I create a folder in HackMD or via the API, it should be reflected in the VS Code sidebar.

2. Editable Team Notes

Collaborative work is a core part of the HackMD experience. It would be a huge improvement if Team Notes were fully editable within the extension.

  • Current limitation: Right now, focusing on personal notes is great, but switching to the browser just to edit a team-owned note breaks the flow.
  • Desired Behavior: Allow users to browse their teams and open/edit notes with the same permissions they have on the web interface.

Summary

These additions would turn this extension from a great tool into an indispensable one for power users and teams. Keep up the excellent work!
