I don't want to be rude, but this feature (OpenVDB inside Unity) needs better support for the community. Unreal has support for this feature, and Unity can't stand behind.
Many Unity developers are not familiar with all this steps and installation process, so I would ask for a better and easier implementation process, preferably using Unity Package Manager, as the Alembic system.
Please take it into consideration,
