Selection of list columns in preferences is ignored

Bug description

Using checkboxes "List Columns" section of File Manager Preferences dialog seems to have no effect, see the screenshot.

To change the selection of columns, I need to right click on the column headers.

Steps to reproduce

Open Preferences, go to "List Columns" tab, try to change something.

Expected behavior

I think the "List Columns" tab should do what it says: "Choose the order of information to appear in the list view."

Additional information

I am using Linux Mint and LMDE for years, and yet I am confused.

This seems to be cause by some Nemo plugin. After disabling all plugins and restarting the system, the issue is gone. Restarting only Nemo and Cinnamon was not enough.
