[BUG] Pressing backspace in table causes page to freeze (Safari, Tahoe)

• I have searched for similar issues in both open and closed tickets and cannot find a duplicate.
• I have read the documentation and cannot find an answer.

Describe the bug
In a table, if you delete all characters from a cell with the backspace button on your keyboard, then press backspace again, the whole website freezes.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to mdxeditor.dev
2. Go to "Try it live"
3. Scroll down to the table
4. As an example, lets go to the cell where it says "Python Hat"
5. Delete all characters with backspace
6. Press backspace when there aren't any characters left
7. Experience the page freezing

Expected behavior
The page to not freeze.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: macOS Tahoe
• Safari ( I was not able to reproduce the bug with Chrome)

Additional context
As stated in the section above, I was not able to reproduce the bug in Chrome which I find to be interesting.
