Companion Heltec V4 Display won't stay on and PRG button will not wake it

Companion Firmware Version 1.12.0 on my Heltec V4 board.

Upon powering on, the display will briefly stay on, but then quickly shuts off. No amount of button presses or holds w/ the PRG button will show the screen again. It results in basically a headless device with no visual information and a race to pair with my MeshCore App.

Re-flashing the firmware to 1.11.0 restores functionality.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Web Flash Heltec V4 with 1.12.0 Firmware (erasing first)
2. Power on device.
3. Device Boots and shows pairing code
4. Device Screen sleeps and cannot see pin.
5. Resetting or power-cycling results in same behavior.

Hi @SpectralGM, I just reproduced the problem following your steps, and I found that the screen does indeed turn off, but the button can wake it up at any time. Do you have a case? Did you accidentally press the RST button?

It's all about battery percentage math and battery indicator. Problem persists only in case of full charge and the main reason is roundings and (float) redefines in batteryPercentage.. some sort of overflow.

I am having the same issue, reverting back down to 1.11 fixes the issue. The nightly build linked above downloads a empty txt, going to files.brazio.org directly and downloading the file from there gets the latest nightly build, but it puts the v4 into a boot loop, the screen will not even come on or show loading... flash back down to 1.11 or 1.12 the device works again. Noticed when the device is plugged in and charging or just on the usb c the screen does not wake from sleep, but if running from battery the screen wakes like normal on v1.12, but on v 1.11 the screen wakes no matter if the device is being power by usb c or not.

It seems to fix the screen sleep issue. But the bluetooth connection is terribly unstable. It will not stay connected to my phone. I will continue testing to see if this levels out a bit. What do you mean by disabling bluetooth with the button, to trigger deep sleep?

see also PR #1612 the button polarity is wrong across the board currently. Except for two variants all boards have button pressed LOW. PR #1612 should fix that.
