Is there an existing issue for this?

The issue occurs in the following browsers. Select at least 2.

• Firefox
• Chrome
• Edge
• Safari (unsupported) - PRs welcome
• N/A - This is an issue with the backend

Current Behavior

I have this error when i try to export from the latest HA version

There is nothing in the logs

Expected Behavior

export devices to csv

Hi,

This might be caused by some unexpected characters in one of the device fields.

I tested it on a clean instance, which is working fine, so I believe it is data related.

1. Can you check if there is a devices.csv file in the /config folder?
2. Can you try the Workflow Export to see if taht works as expected?
3. Are there any errors in the browser console (f12) when exporting the csv?
4. Can you execute the function in the /docs api endpoint directly by:
   1. Navigate to server:GRAPHQL_PORT URL.
   2. Click Authorize and enter your API_TOKEN.
   3. Find the /devices/export endpoint.
   4. Click Try it out
   5. Click Execute
   6. Click Download file
5. Try going through your devices list if you spot unusual characters in any of the fields and try to clear them (e.g. check the comments section)

We can dive into deeper logs or other workarounds (divide and conquer to find the device with the issue) if above doesn't work.

i have this same error.
I do have a device with [ and ] in the name.

The other odd thing, i cannot seem to edit or delete any devices.
Edit never loads the fields and delete says "Not Found"

Same here, i don't have any weird names, i can't edit devices also

Please answer these questions:

I was experiencing these issues, too, until I setup a new database. This leads me to think the behavior is happening due to changes in the database structure when upgrading to a newer release.

The way I fixed it - I shut down NetAlertX and deleted all of the contents in the db folder. Upon restarting NetAlertX again, it will build a new database automatically. Finally, I let devices add back naturally through the scanners because I couldn't rely on using devices.csv. I tried, but something in the data was corrupted and would bring the errors and bad behavior back. It stinks, because if you have a lot of devices like me, you've got to spend the time renaming, regrouping, etc. the way you like it organized.

I had this same problem. I updated NetAlertX HA addon to the latest version and restarted the addon but it still returned the error. Then I opened the page (copied and pasted the HA dashboard URL) in a Private Window (Edge) and that fixed it.
