Another problem is that if you make the System Settings window bigger and then click the back button the window will revert to a smaller size. No other application window behaves like that. It's an anomaly. |

The Cinnamon Settings window doesn't remember its size after being closed by the user. When reopened, the window always reverts to its default size, regardless of the size set in the previous session. This default size results in an asymmetrical arrangement of elements, with extra space on the right side of the window.
While it is possible to manually edit the cinnamon-settings.py file to fix this, it would be much more user-friendly if the window size were retained automatically after closing and reopening.

Just open the Cinnamon Settings window.
