[Bug] Pressing numbers shows them on screen despite being in resident mode

About Bug

Whenever I press any number key (both number row and numpad) the numbers get shown on screen as if I'm trying to repeat a command despite being in resident mode.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go into Resident mode
2. Press number keys
