I've some GUI bugs newly introduced in recent nightly:

• clicking a [pd subpatch] in Run Mode doesn't open the subpatch in a new tab anymore.
• Selecting several objects and attempting to copy them all via context menu deselects all but the last clicked object and subsequently only copies that last object. Can be circumvented by holding shift button upon opening the context menue, yet that's just a workaround.
• attempting to name a parameter in parameter list doesn't work, the name can't be typed upon double-clicking it.

Pushed a fix! Part of the difference in behaviour here was requested by users, and is actually similar to what Max does. The main issue that I fixed now is:

• If object is already selected, then right-clicked: keep current selection, don't deselect anything
• If object is not selected, then right-clicked: deselect other objects (unless shift is down)

This makes a lot more sense to me too.

I'm not consistently able to reproduce this. I feel like this has happened to me too at some point in the past, but trying it now, it seems to work normally for me.

I'll check nightly in a few hours assuming it is up by then, and come back here then.

I'm not consistently able to reproduce this. I feel like this has happened to me too at some point in the past, but trying it now, it seems to work normally for me.

I checked in Reaper 7.55 + 7.66 on macos 15.7.4 with the latest nightly now, still pd subpatches do not open in new tab upon clicking them in run mode. Hmm. Which DAW did you check? I've no Logic installed.

Plus i can confirm, that this works as intended in standalone app.

Yet the error started in Reaper 4 or 5 days ago, when i had installed the nightly from then.

Fixed that!

Note, that in fact now i can type a name for a parameter, but it doesn't register under that name in the DAW immediately. Instead shows as "param1" "param2" etc at first.
New parameter names only update after a DAW session reload (in Reaper 7.66)

This now works as you've described above, however the clipboard doesn't persist, when attempting to copypaste into a subpatch window.

In earlier versions this had worked.

Can you explain more precisely what you mean by this? Just trying to copy multiple objects and pasting into a subpatch window seems to work here, but I assume you mean something else?

It must be another Reaper error then. When i select one or multiple objects, copy the selected ones via the context menu, i cannot paste them into a subpatch. Yet this was working in 0.93.2 (not nightly). I am on th enightly of yesterday right now. Maybe i should go back and try the offical release 0.93.2 first? Let me know.

Also i made the entirely stupid mistake to put three different issues into this thread. Let me know, if i should separate them into different threads. Thank you, @timothyschoen much appreciated!

I fixed the issue with subpatches not opening in the DAW (I was testing in standalone, that's why I didn't get this)

However, copy/paste seems to work fine in reaper here. Pasting multiple times also works, so maybe the issue you describe is something different?
