What are you missing?
Currently registering and updating the measurements within the data manager is solely experiment specific.
Please provide me with the possibility to update/register measurements for multiple projects via one update/registration sheet.
Why do you need a solution?
Partner facilities try to maximize the efficiency of their instruments in term of measurement generation.
A concrete example is loading samples associated with different QBiC projects into the same flowcell and wanting to register the results as ngs measurements in the data manager.
Currently, doing so would require the user to navigate as follows for EACH project:
1.) Select Project
2.) Select Experiment
3.) Navigate to Measurment View
4.) Download Measurement Registration/update sheet
5.) Fill in information
6.) Upload sheet.
Doing these steps for each project takes quite some time and is cumbersome due to manual navigation within the UI and a lot of individual excel file handling
Ideas
Provide the possibilty of a bulk update for samples/measurements within multiple projects.
This option would show the users the project/experiment in which the samples/measurements will be updated based on the provided sheet.
The upload sheet could stay the same in this context, only that in this specific case the application doesn't check if the samples/measurement belong to a specific project, only that they exist
