Rust analyzer uses so much RAM whenever I open vscode that it crashes my pc everytime

Even with nothing but vs code, my terminal, and discord open, rust analyzer uses so much ram that my pc either crashes or almost crashes.

It uses more than 4 gb of ram at minimum and I have 8gb of ram.

I'm running vs code in a tauri project.

If I forgot to include any details then ask me for them.

I have used rust analyzer and it has used over 12gb of ram and almost crashed my pc, my pc froze for 5 minutes and I was barely able to close rust analyzer in system monitor app

I have 24gb of ram, this should NOT be happening.

We already have multiple open issues about high memory usage (#19402 is the most active currently), please don't create a new one, and don't add "me too" comments.

In general Rust is expensive to analyze, and a machine with 8gb of RAM is unfortunately not enough, especially with dependencies as heavy as tauri.

We're aware memory usage is a problem and are constantly improving it (see e.g. #20316), but this is a long-time effort.

There is one case we would like to here more: if you have a project that suddenly started consuming way more memory about 5 months ago, and the project is open source, we would like to see it because this is likely #19402 and we still struggle to understand under what exact condition it manifests.
