As far as I can tell, the Japanese man pages haven't been updated since either 1997 or 2002. When I was reading the documentation a few days ago I thought there were only a few options that were missing, but the reality is that there is quite an enormous amount missing. I haven't done a full audit of the documentation yet, but based on a cursory glance, some of the documentation might be out of date enough to be inaccurate.
Before I realized the documentation is as out of date as it is, I was planning on updating it myself, but given the amount of work that needs to be done, I don't think I am qualified to do it. I am neither fluent in Japanese nor sufficiently familiar with the project, so I don't believe I would be able to adequately describe the finer details of the project in Japanese. (With a bit of effort I could handle explaining things like --append or --badname from usermod, but there is still a good amount of other writing that is more complex than I can handle)
I might be able to come back in a few years when I am better at the language and update the documentation myself, but I figure I should raise the issue now so it might not have to wait until then.
I also noticed that the format of the translations is completely different compared to the English docs. Should the translated pages be updated to xml, or should they be left in their current format?
