Exclude Heat Pump load ?

Checking the documentation and wondering if this is actually applicable to my system.

I have a heat pump for the house hot water, shall I follow the instruction

"To resolve this you need to use car_charging_energy to exclude heat pump load from the historical house load energy."

If you are using load ML for your load projections you won't be using predheat as well. The advice about excluding heat pump load (via the car energy sensor) is specific to predheat, so is not applicable to you

It does?? I didn't see this in the documentation for either LoadML or predheat so I've had LoadML and predheat running together. The LoadML documentation hints at this, but doesn't mention that it supersedes predheat.

No load ML does not explicitly say it replaces predheat but per the description https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/load-ml/

Predbat includes a neural network-based machine learning component that can predict your household energy consumption for the next 48 hours. This prediction is based on historical load patterns, time-of-day patterns, day-of-week patterns, and optionally PV generation history and temperature forecasts.

So for me this gives a much easier way of getting temperature related energy forecasts in predbat rather than the complexity of predheat which has a lot of assumptions and configurations to make

if you want to use predheat alongside load ML then yes you would need to exclude the heat pump load from the house load using the EV load approach
