Predbat is predicting that the following days rates will be cheap (they probably wont be) and then planning to charge the car due to an incorrect prediction. Is there a simple way to prevent this from happening? For car charging I don't want it to look at the following day unless its > 4pm and the rates have been set and known.

In short no, Predbat assumes the rates will roll forward to the same the next day

But you can configure predbat to estimate the future Agile rates based upon Nordpool market data, this comes through at about 10am each morning https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/energy-rates/#future-agile-energy-rates and will make the plan more accurate
