Paths with spaces don't take into account escaping

Hope this is still an active project...

paths like /mnt/drive/divx/# music/somefolder/ are marking as missing, but they are accessible as "/mnt/drive/divx/# music/somefolder/" or /mnt/drive/divx/#\ music/somefolder/

couldn't find how to solve this myself (yes, I'm no good at python)
