Sidebar can sometimes not be resized

Description

The sidebar resizing is not working properly. A drag icon appears, but I can't resize the sidebar.

Also, it does not fit very well on all screens, too small on narrow screens, and too wide on a wide display. I think there should be both min- and max-width styling.

The sidebar size is relative to the window width, so if you make it wide in a narrow viewport and then make the viewport wider, it scales. If it then exceeds the max width, this bug happens.

As a workaround, try making the browser window narrower, then making it smaller and than making the browser window wider again.
