Accessing the paginator in a grid

I would like to be able to access the pagination component when part of a grid.
Current issue is that I would like to make the paginator smaller.
This is possible when using just a paginator component, (Pagination ActivePageNumber="5" TotalPages="5" Size="PaginationSize.Small" ) but hidden when embedded in a grid.
