Stable release timeline for PostgreSQL 18 support (PR #3035)

We are currently running the Zalando Postgres Operator v1.15.1 on our staging environment and are planning to upgrade to PostgreSQL 18.

We noticed that PR #3035 ("Add support for pg18 and remove pg13") was merged into master on February 17, 2026. However, as of today there is no stable tagged release that includes this support, and the spilo-18 image does not yet appear to be published on ghcr.io.

We have a few questions:

1. Is there a planned release date or milestone for the next stable tag (v1.16 or v2.0.0) that includes PostgreSQL 18 support?
2. When can we expect the spilo-18 image to be published on ghcr.io?
3. Is the current master branch considered safe to run in a staging environment ahead of the stable release?

We would like to plan our upgrade timeline accordingly and avoid running on an untagged master branch in production.
