Question: Disable copilot completions in Copilot Chat window

When I invoke copilot chat window and start typing my prompt I get copilot's completion virtual text, which I find pretty annoying. how could I make it not autocomplete my prompts? I understand that it's because the chat is just another buffer but I'm looking for a way to somehow blocklist copilot chat from this.

The chat_autocomplete = false config option doesn't seem to be doing anything.
