Summary

  • Reviewed Archil's docs (cloud filesystem for AI workloads) and identified actionable learnings for RelayFile
  • Proposes 5 improvements: sharpen onboarding to 2 commands, lead with outcome-based messaging, publish performance benchmarks, build a Terraform provider, and design simple pricing
  • Also documents what we should NOT copy (POSIX mounts, S3 lock-in, pessimistic locking, cloud-only)

Recommended Priority

  1. Messaging reframe — highest leverage, lowest effort
  2. First-run experience audit — directly impacts conversion
  3. Performance documentation — builds credibility
  4. Terraform provider — unlocks platform teams
  5. Pricing model principles — future phase

Test plan

  • Review proposal for completeness and accuracy
  • Discuss priority ordering with team
  • Create follow-up issues for approved items
