game might crash at startup due to overly long mod names. some mods are overriding one another therefore shouldn't be bundled together to maintain consistency. shortening default names for bundles can help with this.
a minimum of 5 characters is needed for a mod name.
using 8 characters makes it worth bundling 2 mods together.
