I think the one thing we are going to want to add is the ability to allow the student to see a bit of the data file.

Maybe we can do that as part of the instructions. Add a check box for the datafiles to let the student see the first few lines...

@bnmnetp Yes, of course we can do that, but it will need changes to the runestone component itself. At the Assignment Builder stage we can show a preview, but if I add it only on my side, students will not see it - it will be available only in the Assignment Builder.
If you want, I can try to change how Runestone handles ActiveCode exercises and add a few preview lines from each included data file. I only need clear requirements: how to handle images, how many lines of code to show in data file previews, and so on

I think from your side having a data-previewdata="filename1, filename2, ... would be good if the author selected the option to preview files. Some files are actually code and authors don't want the users to see them.

If I have that, I can update the Runestone side to show them.
